The Sunshine Millions™ will take place on January 30, 2010 at Santa Anita Park in California and at Gulfstream Park in Florida and will showcase horses from two of the country's best thoroughbred breeding states in a head-to-head competition. The Sunshine Millions™ format features six races, with full fields of top-quality Florida-bred and California-bred entries and guaranteed purses totaling $1.8 million. In addition, this year we will maintain the increased appearance fee for unplaced shippers in an effort to encourage greater cross-country competition.

Welcome to the official website of the Sunshine Millions™ - - one of Thoroughbred racing's newest and most exciting events.

The eighth annual Sunshine Millions™ will take place on January 30th, 2010 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California and at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida.

Once again, it will showcase horses from two of the country's best Thoroughbred breeding states, California and Florida, in a head-to-head competition.

The Sunshine Millions™ is based on a cumulative total of points for all races taking place on January 30, 2010 at Gulfstream Park and Santa Anita Park. 

Points are allocated so that the winner of each of the six races receives  5 points.  Each second place winner will receive 3 points and 1 point is awarded for third place.

At the end of the day, the results are tallied for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in all six races and the state with the most points WINS!
